In my time at NC State I&#8217;ve engaged in several research projects with a primary focus on plasma sciences. Understanding the behavior of plasmas is an integral component to developing clean energy from nuclear fusion. In the summer of 2022, I enjoyed a GCSP funded 10-week REU here on campus which then led to a 10-week internship the following summer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I am also a licensed reactor operator at NC State&#8217;s PULSTAR nuclear fission reactor. I&#8217;m ecstatic to be here and so grateful that the GCSP has provided me with the academic support to build my dreams.
