Data Science Academy
The Data Science and AI Academy (DSA) supports NC State as a leading Data Science and AI University.
Rooted in NC State University’s land-grant mission of service and innovation, the Data Science and AI Academy (DSA) is designed to equip the Wolfpack community for success in a data-driven world. The Academy delivers transformative educational experiences, supports cutting-edge research, and fosters collaborative partnerships that expand the frontiers of data science and artificial intelligence (AI). With a focus on excellence, DSA helps students gain the knowledge, practical skills, and ethical grounding needed to address complex global challenges and leverage data for positive impact.

The Academy’s offerings—including courses, consulting services, research enablement, and campus-wide programming—extend across all 10 NC State colleges and the NC State Libraries. These initiatives support interdisciplinary collaboration both on campus and beyond.
“The Data Science and AI Academy will accelerate data-intensive discovery, teaching, and service. It will be a key enabler in building skills, expanding capabilities, and fostering engagement among faculty, students, staff, and partners in industry and government.”
– Warwick Arden, Provost at NC State
