Write a definition-example essay

Choose ONE of these tasks:

1. Analyse one word in your native language that does not have a translation in the English Language. Provide a formal definition of the word and the significance of the word. Provide two examples of how the word is used or misused by non-native language users and their reasons why.
   
2. Analyse one important term or concept in your field of study. Provide a formal definition and the background of this term. Include two of the following: when the term came about, how the term changed your field, and the significance of the term. 

Remember to:

• have one topic = one paragraph
• start each paragraph with a clear topic sentence.
• organize sentences in each paragraph using old-to-new info idea flow
• each sentence in a paragraph should relate to the topic sentence.
