Medtrics has replaced CRESS for all clinical student, course, and clinician evaluations and scheduling as of December 1st, 2025.
Overview of Evaluation Process
Midblock Evaluation
- The assignment is sent three days before the middle of the rotation.
- Faculty must complete the evaluation within 7 days of assignment.
- Students are notified immediately after the faculty submits the evaluation.
End of Block Evaluation
- The assignment is sent three days before the end of the rotation.
- Faculty must complete the evaluation within 6 days of assignment.
- Students are notified immediately after the faculty submits the evaluation.
Overall Rotation Grade (Block Director)
- The assignment is sent three days before the end of the rotation.
- Block Director must complete the evaluation within 9 days of assignment.
- This is a separate, two-question evaluation for the final grade and overall comments. The director must justify the grade but does not need to summarize all previous clinical feedback.
- Students are notified immediately after the grade is submitted.
Student Evaluations (Clinician and Rotation)
- The assignment is sent one day before the end of the rotation.
- Students must complete the evaluation within 5 days of assignment.
- These evaluations are anonymous and are only provided to faculty in summary form at the end of each semester.
Essential Medtrics Dates
Check out the essential Medtrics dates.
- Midblock and End of Block are sent on Thursday (unless rotation is 3 weeks)
- Student evaluations of Clinician and Rotation are sent out the day before the block ends (Saturday)
- Overdue notifications are sent every 7 days after assignment until the forms are completed.
- Forms are cancelled and drop off the homepage list after 30 days.
