I became passionate about this challenge through my engineering classes freshman year and I have been able to learn more and more since then. We interact with urban infrastructure on a daily basis at NC State and our campus is undergoing a historic utility and infrastructure upgrade which is exciting to see. A stable energy grid has proven to be a necessity in today’s urban world and I participated in the GCSP Summer research experience to get hands-on experience with energy generation research.
