Grand Challenge Focus: Provide Energy from Fusion

I was interested in joining the Grand Challenge Scholars Program because it gives me the opportunities to learn about and work on some of the current issues within our world today. I chose Provide Energy from Fusion because I am interested in developing and perfecting this emerging green and sustainable energy, as I personally believe it will be the energy of the future. Especially since the cost of energy is constantly increasing, making the need for sources of energy that can sustain us without damaging the planet even greater.
