Review Paper Outline – due June 20.

Outline Expectations: Working in your Group Google folder – each group should build upon their graded proposals.  Use the Paper Grading Rubric below to structure the outline of your paper and start to flesh out the sections.  Everyone should contribute to the sections of the paper they are responsible for and in the main body of the paper where they discuss primary literature/research done with your pathogen.  Turn in your final outline in Moodle – 1/group.

First Draft Group Review Paper – due June 13 — A complete well written paper should be turned.  This is not a rough draft.   Refer to the 1st Draft of the Review Paper Grading Rubric (15 pts) for guidance.

Final Review Papers and Presentations are due June 20 by the start of your regular lab section.

Each group presentation and paper should also be turned in on Moodle, 1 per group.

We will end the semester with each group presenting their research and relating their results to scientific literature.

Presentation Expectations:

This presentation is a formal presentation and should logically present the main aspects outlines in the Project Overview of the group Project.  All group members should present information from the same PowerPoint presentation.  Practice is important !  Everyone should be prepared to answer questions from your TA, students in the class, and possibly visiting faculty and/or staff.  Presentations are a great way for us to learn about what you did and the significance of your results AND ideas for futures students to explore.  Your presentation should run 10-15 minutes, not including post presentation questions.  Presentations outside of this time period will lose 1 point per minute, up to 5 points.

  • Spring 2023 – Presentations will be presented in person during the regular class time.
  • Group Review Paper Presentation Rubric (35 pts)  (The Project Presentation time limit is 10-15 minutes, not 5-10 minutes like in the DNA Presentations).
